Synopsis
In the suffocating humidity of a Sichuan summer, Wei arrives in Lotus Creek Village to exterminate a beast blamed for slaughtering livestock. But as he hunts Lang, the wild-spirited man at the center of the mystery, Wei's rigid worldview is challenged by a forbidden attraction and a revelation that the "monster" is the village's only protector. Torn between the dogmatic laws of his Order and the truth of his heart, Wei must make a choice that will leave him irreversibly hollow.
