The Captain's Vessel

Detective Rourke boards the drifting salvage ship *Acheron* expecting a standard case of mutiny or insurance fraud. Instead, he finds a blood-soaked mess hall and a crew that has vanished into the fog. When he descends into the vault to secure the ship's primary asset—a grotesque golden idol—Rourke discovers that his legendary mental strength isn't a shield, but a lure for something ancient, hungry, and waiting to take command.
